When Michelangelo painted the Sistine chapel, one doubt that even he could imagine the future of art will bring photorealistic images that doesn’t require a brush or a vat of clay. Diego Becerra’s favorite art medium is rendered from a computer. He sculpts life with a click of a mouse, producing awe inspiring images that have bought him success as a commercial designer.
One of the original founders of the South Florida digital art & film collective known as Underlab Studios (co-creators of The Auteur Explosion), Diego has served behind the scenes for years in many of ULS productions. He can even be accredited for designing and modeling the microscope that opens up all of their short films and videos. His modeling skills have made him a well sought after 3d specialist.
As of lately Diego Becerra has had a stream of commissions to design websites for some Miami’s hottest DJ’s including Immortal and Hurricane (from Scratch Academy) and has recently launched his own website for his creative services www.db5art.com.
